We learn from this narrative in Scripture how Jesus pushes us beyond our comfort zone.  The woman Jesus heals is desperate.  She has been ill for over twelve years, she has spent all of her resources in order to be healed, and now she finds herself living in isolation given her illness.  

The woman risks much to be healed.  Her fear is overcome by her faith.  Jesus pushes her beyond her comfort zone to receive.
