Food Pantry

The West Allegheny Food Pantry serves over 200 families a month.  We desire to be supportive of The Food Pantry's care for our community. Twice a year, Mosaic supports the Food Pantry.

The first time, during the season of Lent, the days leading up to Easter, we lead a Hygiene Drive.  Hygiene items cannot be purchased with food stamps.  To address this tangible need we desire to collect donations of hygiene items to benefit the W.A. Food Pantry clientele.

March 6 - April 21 2019.

You may bring your items to Mosaic Church located at 140 Imperial Plaza Drive, Imperial PA 15126 (located adjacent to Inks Salvage, 160 Imperial Plaza Drive).  The church will be open for donations on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm -8:30 pm or Sundays from 8:30 am - 11:15 am.

There are bins located at the Donaldson Community Center and the Township Office. The last time for drop off at these locations is Saturday, April 20.

The Food Pantry has expressed that single wrapped items rather than bulk are easiest to distribute and transport.  Here are some suggestion for what to provide:

  • Toothpaste 1.5 - 6.2 oz.
  • Shampoo 30 oz.
  • Conditioner 30 oz.
  • Razors
  • Toothbrush (single)
  • Dental Floss (single)
  • Soap (single)
  • Deodorant 2.6 or more oz.

The second time we serve during the year: we come alongside those who faithfully serve every week at the Food Pantry.

Annually during the month of June. There are six different time slots throughout the month that are available to help with the West Allegheny Food Pantry.

If you have free time and are looking to help make a difference in the community this is a fantastic opportunity for you.  Volunteers are needed to help stock shelves and distribute food.
