Welcome Our New Rector
INTRODUCING
The Reverend Erik Germesin
Erik+comes to us with more than two decades of pastoral leadership rooted here in Pittsburgh. He is ordained in the Anglican Church of North America, with a ministry shaped by both the life of the Church and the realities of the world beyond its walls. His work has ranged from leading congregations and equipping lay leaders, to serving as a police chaplain and walking alongside those in crisis and transition.
What stands out most is not simply his experience, but the through-line of his calling: helping people encounter God in the midst of real life. His ministry reflects a steady commitment to building authentic community, engaging those who feel far from the Church, and creating spaces where grace is not an abstract idea, but something lived and received.
In many ways, that resonates deeply with the heart of Mosaic itself—a church born from the belief that God meets us in the messiness of life, restores us by His grace, and sends us backout into the world renewed.
Erik+steps into this role not to replace what has been, but to faithfully carry it forward—bringing his own gifts, voice, and leadership into the story God is already writing here.
We are thrilled to welcome Erik+, his wife, Airen, three children, CJ, Joshua, and Jessica.
We look forward to hearing Erik+ preach his first sermon on Sunday, May 3rd. There will be a reception to follow the service.
