COVID Christmas

“When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.” Matthew 2:10 (ESV)

Those who rejoiced were the wise men as they searched to worship the newborn Savior.  This Christmas Eve we have the unexpected opportunity to worship under the stars.   We will rejoice as we celebrate God the Father’s love for us through the birth of His Son, Jesus.

In an effort to love and care for others, Mosaic’s governing body discerned the need to suspend our indoor in-person worship services for a time. We find our county in a precarious place. The hospitals are near capacity.  Our frontline health care providers are being stretched.   The suspension of indoor services will hopefully only be for a few weeks.  We look forward to the day when we will gather indoor again.

Mosaic is offering several outdoor Christmas Eve services throughout the week of December 20th, all under the stars. In order to follow the guidelines of our Governor, we are limiting the number of people for each service.  We will be following CDC guidelines during the outdoor in-person worship services. We ask that you register for the service that best fits your Christmas celebration, register here

We invite you and your family to rejoice with us as celebrate Christmas.

REGISTRATION:  To be sure that we comply with the state regulations we are asking people to register for the Christmas Eve services.  In order to be guaranteed a spot, please register for the service. REGISTER here

SOCIAL DISTANCING:   We know it is not natural, but we ask that you do not shake hands, fist bump or hug anyone while we gather.

FACE MASKS: State guidelines require that we wear masks, even outside. Please bring a face mask that you will be comfortable wearing properly, covering your nose and mouth. Complimentary masks are available should you forget your mask.

PLEASE STAY HOME IF during the 14 days prior to joining us, you:

  • Have any cold* or flu like symptoms;
  • Have been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID; OR
  • Traveled to one of the states that the PA Dept of Health requires you to self-quarantine (check for an updated list).

*Cold and flu season is upon us.  Because of the symptoms associated with COVID-19,  for those who do not work digitally, a cold is enough to keep someone home from work.  For some, if they are not able to go to work physically, the person does not get paid. This can be a hardship.  Therefore, for the sake of one another, if someone develops cold or flu like symptoms, we ask for you to stay at home and to care for yourself.
